Louis Lovas: Chief Architect and Fellow, Progress Software Corporation, Apama Division. Louis has been in the Enterprise software business for over 25 years. As an employee of Progress Software for the past 15 years he has been instrumental in the design and development of many of Progress' Enterprise infrastructure products -  database, application server and management platforms. For the past 6 years he has been devoted to Complex Event Processing technology, CEP languages and the Apama CEP platform.

David Luckham is a Professor Emeritus in Stanford University; Professor Luckham's research and consulting activities in software technology include multi-processing and business processing languages, event-driven systems, complex event processing, commercial middleware, program verification, systems architecture modelling and simulation, and artificial intelligence (automated deduction and reasoning systems).

Alan Lundberg is senior manager, product marketing for TIBCO Software, Inc. He is responsible for worldwide outbound marketing functions for TIBCO Event Processing and Business Optimization software products.

John Morrell is the Director of Product and Solutions Marketing for Coral8, Inc. In his role, he leads Coral8's market development activities, and is the primary market evangelist for Coral8 products and key customer solution advocate.

W. Roy Schulte is Vice President and Distinguished Analyst at Gartner Inc. His work centers on SOA, event processing, application integration and business activity monitoring (BAM).

Richard Tibbetts is chief architect at Streambase. He brings an extensive and experienced engineering background to StreamBase Systems. Throughout his career, Tibbetts has concentrated on the design and development of database technologies, while also offering specialization in program analysis and distributed computing.

Alexandre Alves is a computer scientist, who has worked in the past decade on middleware; particularly around network management, CORBA, real-time distributed systems, J2EE, Web-Services, BPEL, OSGi, and most recently on Complex Event Processing (CEP). He is a co-author of the WS-BPEL 2.0 specification. He is currently employed by Oracle, previously having worked for BEA Systems as the architect for the product WebLogic Event Server, re-branded Oracle CEP.
