Event Processing Technical Society (EPTS) Presents

2010 Innovative Event Processing Principles Contest

 

The Event Processing Technical Society is sponsoring an Innovative Event Processing Principles Contest. The contest is open to private persons from all countries as well as to organizations from all from all countries, of all sizes, including government agencies.

The goal of this EPTS contest is to highlight research contributions significantly advancing the state-of-the-art in event processing.

To qualify for the competition, research contributions (like conference or journal articles, doctoral theses, books) should have been published in the past 5 years, or accepted for publication in the last 12 months. Submissions by the (co-)authors of the research contribution are welcome.  The nomination form may be downloaded by clicking on this URL: http://www.ep-ts.com/component/option,com_docman/task,doc_download/gid,128/Itemid,84/ and when completed, may be emailed to EPTS_Principles_Award at ep-ts dot com

Competition winners will be announced at the ETPS annual meeting in Los Angeles, USA on November 17-19, 2010.  Submissions will be accepted through September 30.

Competition Schedule

Submissions must be received by September 30, 2010. Winners will be announced during the EPTS annual conference in November 17-19, 2010.

Judging Criteria

The nominations will be judged based on: scientific and technical soundness, relevance to event processing, originality, and expected or already achieved impact on event processing.

Awards

Up to two awards will be granted. The award will be in a form of a plaque, and will be publicly acknowledged by the awarding organizations and in the media.

Guidelines for Answering the Submission Questions

The nominating person may be either the contact person for the nominated material, or a third party person such as reviewer, conference attendee, etc.  The contact person is a person that can be approached for further questions about the nomination.
